When Ask about this trip or Ask about this collection is available, the conversation belongs to you. The creator and other visitors cannot read it. Sharing or copying the public itinerary does not share your chat.
On desktop, use the chat panel on the right of the map. Hide collapses it, and Chat opens it again. On mobile, tap Ask about this trip or Ask about this collection to open the conversation. Type a question and press Send. There is no separate checkbox or Continue step.
Ask without changing the original
Ask about pacing, a particular day, a saved place, or what to check before booking. This assistant is read-only: it cannot edit the public itinerary, make reservations, or access the creator's private notes and conversations. To edit an itinerary, use Make this trip yours separately.
The assistant uses the public content and recent messages from your own conversation. It does not use another visitor's conversation or the creator's private memory. Where live research is enabled, cited public sources may help answer current travel questions; check important details with the official provider.
Temporary chats
Where guest chat is available, the line beneath Send explains that sending confirms you are 18 or older and agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy. Your first Send runs a security check and creates or renews your temporary chat access before sending the question. Verification normally runs automatically, but may ask you to complete a challenge. Simply opening the page does not run verification, create an identity, record agreement, or send a model request.
If verification fails, your question stays in the composer. Send again to retry. The question is not sent to the AI until admission succeeds.
Temporary chats expire within 30 days, or earlier if the guest identity expires. Returning to a chat does not restart that period. Keep your browser cookies to return. Clearing cookies, changing browsers, or ending the temporary session may make the chat inaccessible.
Keep a conversation in your account
You can verify an email address or use Google to create an account with the same identity. Verification preserves ownership; it does not automatically extend a temporary chat's expiry. Open the chat and explicitly choose to keep it under the account retention policy.
These account and history controls are under the header's Clear chat icon, then Manage conversations. Opening those controls does not clear anything; clearing requires a separate confirmation. Registered users can also manage visitor chats from the Account tab.
To move chats into an existing account, select the conversations, choose whether to extend their retention, and sign in. Only selected conversations move after verification. Unselected chats and guest trips do not move. Export anything else you need before ending that temporary session.
Account chats expire after 90 days without a new accepted message. Reading a chat or retrying the same message does not extend its expiry.
Export, delete, or report a problem
Use the header's Clear chat icon and confirm Clear conversation to remove the current chat without changing the public trip or collection. Expand Manage conversations there to select a different conversation or use Export conversation for a JSON copy of your own messages and replies. These controls remain available for your own accessible chat when new chat requests are paused. When a source is no longer public, further chat about it is unavailable; your own transcript may still be exported before it expires.
For support, contact support@platix.io. Do not send sensitive travel details, identity documents, booking codes, or someone else's conversation. You decide which parts of your own chat to share when reporting a problem. Staff access for necessary security, legal, or support operations is governed by the Privacy Policy.
AI and privacy
This is not end-to-end encrypted messaging. Platix's AI providers process your questions and relevant public context to answer them. Avoid sensitive personal information. AI replies can be wrong, and public itinerary text may also be incomplete or outdated.
Operational reports use counts and estimated usage, not chat text. Optional analytics consent is separate from the strictly necessary authentication and security controls for a chat you request. Deletion from the application is not an instant deletion guarantee for backups or external provider records; see the Privacy Policy.
