Trip media can document the journey, illustrate a stop, and provide a cover for trip cards.

Upload media

Open a stop and use its upload action to select photos or supported videos. Large phone photos are compressed in the browser before upload when possible, reducing transfer time and storage while retaining useful display quality.

Uploaded media is stored in Platix media storage and associated with the stop. A photo for a Google place also retains the Google Place ID when the stop has one.

Browse trip photos

From the trips list, select View Photos to open the trip gallery. Photos are ordered by day, then by stop order within the day. The first page loads a bounded set; use Load More Photos at the bottom to fetch later media.

Select a photo from the trip gallery, a day thumbnail, or a stop detail to open the larger lightbox.

Choose a cover

Set an uploaded trip photo as the cover when you want a specific image on the trip card. Without an explicit cover, Platix uses the first available photo from the earliest day and stop. A placeholder appears only when the trip has no usable media.

Trip and collection list pages request only the cover image needed for each card rather than preloading every photo.

Google and uploaded photos

If a stop has user-uploaded photos, Platix does not add Google place photos to that stop. Google photo references may require repair when Google changes an underlying reference or Place ID; uploaded media does not depend on that reference.

Delete media and accounts

Deleting uploaded media removes the record and its owned storage object. Account deletion also removes media objects owned by that account without deleting media owned by another user.
