Guest Trip Check gives you a focused second opinion on a day-by-day itinerary before you create a Platix account or turn the plan into a trip.
What to include
Paste enough context for the reviewer to understand the shape of the trip:
- Who is traveling, including children or accessibility needs that affect pace.
- Travel dates or season.
- Overnight cities and how you plan to move between them.
- A day-by-day outline.
- Anything already booked or otherwise fixed.
- Alternatives written clearly, such as "Arashiyama or the Railway Museum."
Do not include passport details, payment information, booking codes, or other sensitive personal data.
Ask a focused question
The question is optional. Use it when you want the review to emphasize something specific, such as:
- Is this realistic for a family at a moderate pace?
- What are the three most important changes?
- Which travel day assumes too much?
- What already works and should be preserved?
The reviewer should answer your question before suggesting a replacement plan. It will only include a revised outline when you ask for one.
Read the review
The response may cover overall feasibility, what already works, the most important changes, day-by-day notes, seasonal considerations, and details to verify. Missing meal or hotel details are treated as unknown rather than automatically wrong.
The full review is available without an account. When the visual preview is available, Platix also shows a read-only outline before the review:
- Up to 21 days from the itinerary, with the original day order preserved.
- Fixed, optional, flexible, and planned items when those states are clear in the text.
- The overnight-city sequence, including a return to a city visited earlier.
- A city-level map using no more than 10 unique route anchors.
The map is a visual city sequence, not turn-by-turn directions. It does not resolve activities to Google places, fetch place photos, or add facts to the review. Longer itineraries still receive the complete written review even when the visual preview is shortened or unavailable.
Guest Trip Check does not browse the web. Confirm current transport schedules, opening hours, availability, prices, weather, visa rules, and entry requirements with authoritative sources.
What happens to the itinerary
Reviewing does not save the pasted itinerary as a trip or as chat history. It sends the itinerary and optional question to OpenAI to produce the review. Platix keeps the submitted text, extracted preview, and AI review in restricted quality and debugging records for up to 180 days. These records help us investigate failures and improve Trip Check; they are not visible to other travelers and are not used to train a Platix general-purpose foundation model.
When the map preview is enabled, Platix sends no more than 10 extracted city or overnight-base labels to Google to resolve coarse map coordinates. It does not send the complete itinerary to Google. The visual preview and resolved coordinates are temporary and read-only.
After reading the result, choose Save and build this trip if you want to continue. Only then does Platix hold the pasted source temporarily while you sign in. The handoff expires after about one hour, is limited to the account that claims it, and enters the normal private itinerary importer. You can inspect the source and confirm the import before Platix creates an editable trip. Signing in by itself never creates a trip.
If the temporary handoff expires, return to Trip Check and submit the itinerary again. Quality records are not a traveler-facing history and cannot be restored through the product, so do not use this flow as permanent storage for the original text or review.
Guest Trip Check and plan health review are different
Guest Trip Check is a quick semantic second opinion on pasted text. The saved-trip plan health review works from structured days and stops and can attach deterministic findings and scores to the affected parts of a trip. Use Guest Trip Check before signup; use the structured review when you want to keep editing and rechecking a mapped itinerary.
