Trip Check can review a pasted itinerary without an account. This page explains what happens to the text, how the optional map works, and what changes if you choose to save a trip.
Before you submit
Your itinerary and optional review question are sent to OpenAI to produce the review. Do not paste passport numbers, payment details, booking codes, or other sensitive personal information. You can leave out names and reservation references without losing the route, pace, or logistics context needed for a useful review.
The AI review may be incomplete or wrong. Trip Check does not check live schedules, opening hours, availability, prices, weather, or entry requirements. Verify important current details with the relevant providers and official sources.
What Platix keeps after a review
Reviewing alone does not create a trip or chat history. Platix keeps the submitted text, extracted preview, and AI review in restricted quality and debugging records for up to 180 days. These records help investigate failures and improve Trip Check; they are not a traveler-facing review history and are not visible to other travelers.
If you close the result without saving a trip, you cannot return to that review through a Platix account. To keep working with it, choose Save and build this trip from the result.
What the map uses
When the optional map preview is available, Platix sends no more than 10 extracted city or overnight-base labels to Google to resolve coarse map coordinates. The complete pasted itinerary is not sent to Google for this step. Your browser also loads Google Maps to display the city sequence. This is a read-only overview, not verified directions or a list of resolved activity locations.
The visual preview may show fewer days or places than the written review. That does not shorten the review of your pasted text.
If you choose to save and build
Selecting Save and build this trip creates a temporary, private handoff while you sign in. It expires after about one hour and is limited to the account that claims it. Signing in by itself does not create a trip: you first review and edit the extracted days and stops, then start creation.
After a private trip is created, its owner can revisit the original review in Planning health → Original Trip Check. That review is a historical snapshot, so later edits to the trip do not rewrite it. Only the trip owner can read those original notes, even if the trip is later shared or made public. The Current review checks the trip as it stands now and is separate from the original notes.
