PDF import helps an advisor turn a text-based itinerary PDF into a private agency trip draft.
Upload rules
Use text-based PDFs up to 20 MB and 80 pages, within your workspace's enabled access. Scanned-image OCR is not available in this pilot. This agency workflow is separate from the consumer import page, which accepts text files or supported article links rather than PDFs.
Open the agency PDF import area, choose an Optional client if appropriate, and select Choose PDF. Wait for processing before opening the extracted draft.
Do not upload payment-card data, passports, government IDs, login secrets, or sensitive medical information. Remove that material before upload.
Review extraction
PDF text is untrusted source material. Platix ignores instructions inside the PDF and extracts itinerary structure only.
In Review extracted itinerary, check Trip title, Summary, Start date, each day's Date, Title, and Overnight location, and each stop's name, category, start time, and minutes. Review unresolved items rather than simply removing them to make the list empty. Imported text may be incomplete, duplicated, or ambiguous.
Create the private trip
Select Confirm and create private trip only when the reviewed extraction is ready. The created trip remains private and should still be reviewed before a client-safe proposal is published.
If extraction fails, retry only with a cleaner source document. Do not repeatedly upload large files that contain the same problem.
Cancel or delete source material
Cancel an import when the source is wrong or should not be processed. Platix queues private source files for deletion according to the import workflow and retention policy.
