How do I close an agency workspace?

Understand owner-only agency closure, billing timing, access revocation, recovery, and the boundary between closure and permanent deletion.

Only the agency owner can close a workspace. Closure ends billing and agency access without deleting members' personal accounts; permanent deletion and complete export remain separate controlled capabilities.

Only the active workspace owner can schedule an agency workspace closure from Settings. Closing ends agency access for the whole team; it is different from deleting a personal Platix account, removing a teammate, or changing a subscription.

Who can close a workspace

Only the active workspace owner can schedule closure. Admins, managers, advisors, and billing members cannot close the organization.

Closing the workspace does not delete team members' personal Platix accounts or personal trips and collections.

Before you confirm

Open Settings, then find Close workspace in the danger zone. Platix shows bounded counts for affected team access, client and traveler links, integrations, and document jobs. It does not place client details in the closure screen or its operational analytics.

You can normally choose to close at the end of the current billing period or close immediately. Immediate closure does not promise an automatic refund.

Confirmation requires the exact agency name, two acknowledgements, and a short-lived code sent to the owner's verified account email.

What happens at closure

Normal agency access stops for the team. Platix revokes pending invitations, client intake links, proposal and traveler links, API credentials, webhooks, and public directory showcases. Team members keep their personal accounts and personal content.

A legal or contractual retention hold may preserve eligible records, but it does not require the agency to remain subscribed or keep client-facing access open.

Cancel or restore

A scheduled end-of-period closure can be cancelled before it takes effect when billing-provider state permits it.

During the recovery window, the owner may see a minimal closure console. If restoration is available, it requires a new email code and the exact agency name. Restoring does not reactivate old invitations, client links, API credentials, or webhook secrets; those must be recreated deliberately.

Permanent deletion and complete workspace export are separate capabilities. Platix should only present them after their retention, export, and deletion policies are approved and operationally enabled.

Need assistance

Contact Platix support if closure is blocked, the agency owner has changed, a billing reversal fails, or the workspace is subject to a legal or contractual hold. Do not send client names, booking references, payment details, passwords, or private documents in a support message.
