Creators can earn in two ways: publish premium trips that buyers receive as independent editable copies, and provide fixed-scope Human Itinerary Reviews of traveler-owned itineraries. Your public trips, collections, specialties, and privacy-safe customer outcomes make the expertise behind both offers visible.
Who can apply?
Travel writers, photographers, destination specialists, local experts, independent planners, and experienced travelers can apply.
You need a complete public Platix creator profile and a public social profile, blog, or portfolio. A published public Platix trip helps demonstrate your work, and creator launch-program applicants can build their first one with us. We care more about supportable expertise and useful decisions than follower count. Clearly distinguish firsthand experience, professional knowledge, and researched recommendations.
How much time does the first trip take?
For the creator launch program, plan for:
- A 20-minute kickoff to choose the route, audience, and format
- About 2-4 hours of creator work when you already have an itinerary, notes, or published recommendations
- A 45-minute joint review before publication
- About 15 minutes for an important later update
A complex itinerary created from scratch may take longer. We agree on the scope and any additional compensation before that work begins.
What does concierge onboarding include?
For the creator launch program, Platix works beside you on:
- Account and public creator-profile setup
- Structuring or importing the first itinerary
- Route, photo, preview, and listing review
- Publication settings and payout setup with Stripe
- Human Itinerary Review setup when it fits your expertise
- Product questions while you prepare the first trip
You remain the author and final reviewer. Platix does not publish a creator's trip without their approval.
Does the trip have to be generated by AI?
No. You can begin with a prompt, create a blank trip manually, or organize an itinerary you already use. Every trip opens in the same editable workspace, regardless of how it started.
Can I publish without selling?
Yes. A creator can publish free public trips and collections. Selling is optional and requires separate creator approval.
What can I sell?
You may sell only an original trip that you created and have the necessary rights to distribute. A trip forked from someone else's trip can never be listed for sale, even after extensive edits.
Do not upload or sell third-party writing, photos, or other material unless you have the rights needed for commercial distribution. Google Places photos already attached to places in your original trip are handled separately as live provider content: Platix stores the Place ID and photo position, displays the current image with provider attribution, and does not copy or claim ownership of Google's image bytes.
Who owns my work?
You retain ownership of your original trip content and uploaded media. The Terms of Service grant Platix the limited license needed to host, display, operate, and promote the service and your published content.
What do travelers see before paying?
The free preview includes the title, trip summary, cover, price, creator-selected highlights and What you'll get pills, trip length, all of day one, and the places you stay day by day. The remaining premium itinerary unlocks after purchase.
How much do I earn?
You keep 85% of the amount collected for each premium-trip sale and completed paid review. Once their combined revenue, after refunds and excluding taxes, passes $500 in a calendar month, your share rises to 90% for that entire month. There are no monthly creator fees or listing fees.
Human Itinerary Review opportunities appear only after separate reviewer eligibility is approved for the relevant expertise.
How do I get paid?
Platix pays every Friday, in one Stripe transfer covering your payable trip sales and paid reviews, once that combined balance is at least $20. A trip sale becomes payable after the buyer's 14-day refund window; a review, 7 days after it's completed. Stripe then pays your bank.
To get paid, set up payouts once in Creator Studio > Earnings. Platix uses Stripe to process payments and send your payouts. You can sell and take paid reviews before you do: your earnings wait in Creator Studio and are paid in the first weekly payout after setup. Where the law requires, Platix issues a 1099 tax form through Stripe.

What is Human Itinerary Review?
Human Itinerary Review is a separate paid service for eligible creators. You evaluate one fixed, privacy-minimized revision of a traveler's itinerary and return a structured second opinion: what works, which changes matter most, and what the traveler should verify.
The service gives you a clear brief, scope, deadline, and delivery format. It does not give you ordinary access to the traveler's live trip and does not include booking, certification, emergency support, or unlimited revisions.

Who sets the price?
You do. Most trips currently use $19-$79 as a starting range, but the right price depends on specificity, depth, and the decisions the itinerary saves a traveler from making.
You can change the price for future buyers or stop selling. Existing buyers keep access to what they purchased.
Can I edit a trip after it sells?
Yes. You keep editing the private creator master. Your draft changes do not alter buyer trips or the version currently offered for sale. Publish a new release when those changes are ready for future buyers; existing buyers keep the private trip delivered from the release they purchased and may receive your release note.
Can my trips look like mine, not like Platix?
Yes. In Creator Studio > Public profile > Brand, add a tagline, your website and social links, specialties, a cover image, a logo, and an accent color, and pin a featured trip. They appear on your creator page, your premium trips, your public trips and collections, and the link previews people see when they share them. See Make your creator page yours.
Do I have to promote the trip?
The standard creator terms do not require a fixed number of social posts. A separate paid partnership may include agreed promotional deliverables; those must be written down before the work begins.
If you receive payment, free services, revenue participation, or another material benefit for promoting Platix, make the relationship clear to your audience and use any disclosure controls required by the social platform.
What information do I receive about buyers?
For each premium trip sale, you get the buyer's name and email unless they choose not to share them. They're in Creator Studio > Buyers, and you can download them as a CSV. Buyers' private copies of your trip, their travel dates and their activity stay private. If you review trips, you never receive a traveler's identity or contact details. Can I hide my creator profile but remain a creator?
No. A complete public profile is part of active creator status, so an approved creator can't hide it, and it also stays public while your application is being reviewed. If you only want to stop taking new work, pause each premium-trip listing and turn off paid-review availability. Your profile and creator history remain public.
If you are not a creator and have no application under review, for example you never applied or your application was not approved, use Make profile private in Creator Studio > Public profile. Publish profile brings it back.
The self-service way to take the creator profile offline is Leave creator program in Creator Studio > Settings. Leaving makes the profile private and blocks new premium-trip publishing, sales, and paid-review offers. It does not erase completed purchases, buyer access, required attribution, earnings, payout, or audit records.
Can I remove a listing or leave the program?
You can stop selling an individual trip to new buyers, or use Leave creator program in Creator Studio to withdraw your creator status and make the creator profile private. Existing buyers retain access to what they purchased, and required purchase, attribution, financial, and audit records remain preserved. Public trips and collections keep their existing visibility until you change them separately.
After voluntarily leaving, you can publish a complete profile, submit a new application, and accept the current creator terms. Earnings from before you left are still paid. A suspension is an enforcement state, not a voluntary exit: suspended creators cannot reapply until Platix reviews and restores their access. Platix emails creators when access is suspended, restored, or voluntarily withdrawn.
Where do I apply?
Open Platix for creators and select Build your creator business. After signing in or creating an account, Platix opens Creator Studio. Complete and save your public Platix creator profile, then add a public social profile, blog, or portfolio and describe the expertise behind your work.
