Who can apply?
Travel writers, photographers, destination specialists, local experts, independent planners, and experienced travelers can apply. While Platix is small, every application is reviewed by hand.
You need a public social profile, blog, or portfolio. A published public Platix trip helps us review your work, but founding-pilot applicants can build their first one with us. We care more about first-hand knowledge and useful decisions than follower count.
How much time does the first trip take?
For the founding creator pilot, plan for:
- A 20-minute kickoff to choose the route, audience, and format
- About 2-4 hours of creator work when you already have an itinerary, notes, or published recommendations
- A 45-minute joint review before publication
- About 15 minutes for an important later update
A complex itinerary created from scratch may take longer. We agree on the scope and any additional compensation before that work begins.
What does concierge onboarding include?
For the founding cohort, Platix works beside you on:
- Account and public creator-profile setup
- Structuring or importing the first itinerary
- Route, photo, preview, and listing review
- Publication settings and payout orientation
- Product questions while you prepare the first trip
You remain the author and final reviewer. Platix does not publish a creator's trip without their approval.
Does the trip have to be generated by AI?
No. You can begin with a prompt, create a blank trip manually, or organize an itinerary you already use. Every trip opens in the same editable workspace, regardless of how it started.
Can I publish without selling?
Yes. A creator can publish free public trips and collections. Selling is optional and requires separate creator approval.
What can I sell?
You may sell only an original trip that you created and have the necessary rights to distribute. A trip forked from someone else's trip can never be listed for sale, even after extensive edits.
Do not upload or sell third-party writing, photos, or other material unless you have the rights needed for commercial distribution.
Who owns my work?
You retain ownership of your original trip content and uploaded media. The Terms of Service grant Platix the limited license needed to host, display, operate, and promote the service and your published content.
What do travelers see before paying?
The free preview includes the title, overview, trip length, all of day one, the places you stay day by day, and up to three highlights from later days. The remaining premium itinerary unlocks after purchase.
How much do I earn?
You keep 85% of each premium-trip sale. After completed trip-sale earnings, net of full refunds, pass $500 in a calendar month, your share rises to 90% for that entire month. There are no monthly creator fees or listing fees.

Who sets the price?
You do. Most trips currently use $19-$79 as a starting range, but the right price depends on specificity, depth, and the decisions the itinerary saves a traveler from making.
You can change the price for future buyers or stop selling. Existing buyers keep access to what they purchased.
Can I edit a trip after it sells?
The itinerary locks permanently after its first sale, so a buyer always retains the version they purchased. You can still post updates, change the price for future buyers, stop selling, or publish a substantially revised itinerary as a new trip.
Do I have to promote the trip?
The standard creator terms do not require a fixed number of social posts. A separate paid partnership may include agreed promotional deliverables; those must be written down before the work begins.
If you receive payment, free services, revenue participation, or another material benefit for promoting Platix, make the relationship clear to your audience and use any disclosure controls required by the social platform.
What information do I receive about buyers?
Creators receive aggregate sales and earnings information. Platix does not disclose buyer names, email addresses, private trip copies, or individual activity to creators.
Can I remove a listing or leave the program?
You can stop selling a trip to new buyers. Existing buyers retain access to the version they purchased. Creator approval may also be suspended or withdrawn under the Terms, including for fraud, rights violations, misleading listings, or other breaches.
Where do I apply?
Open Sell your travel itineraries and select Apply to become a creator. After signing in or creating an account, Platix opens the application in your account. Add a public profile, blog, or portfolio and briefly describe your travel background.
