Use collection import when you already have a trip and want to bring a saved set of places into it. This is useful for empty drafts, half-built trips, and city add-ons.
Open the import flow
- Open a trip you can edit.
- Select Import from the trip toolbar.
- Choose the source collection.
- Choose how the places should be added.
- Review the preview.
- Confirm the import.
Platix shows progress while it loads the preview and while it saves the import, so avoid closing the page until the action finishes.
Choose an import mode
Use Add to day when you know exactly where the places belong. Choose the destination day before confirming.
Use Create new days when the collection deserves its own block in the itinerary. Choose how many days to create and where they should be inserted.
Access and editing rules
You can import from collections you can open, including your own collections, public collections, unlisted collections available by link, and collections shared with you.
You can import only into trips you can edit. Public read-only trips, trips shared with you as viewer, and trips you no longer have access to cannot be changed. Select Customize this trip first when you want an editable version of a public trip.
After importing
Imported places are starting points, not finished travel logic. Review the stop order, timing, notes, map position, and whether the day needs transport or lodging.
If the import does not fit, remove the imported stops or adjust the day. The source collection is not changed.
