Collection media helps you recognize a collection quickly and gives public readers a useful preview.

Choose a cover

Open the collection gallery and set an eligible photo as the cover. The selected cover appears on collection lists and public previews.

If you do not choose a cover, Platix uses an available place or uploaded photo as a fallback. A neutral placeholder appears only when the collection has no usable media.

Open View Photos to see media from places in the collection. Select a thumbnail to expand it in the lightbox. Use Load more photos at the bottom when more media is available.

Collection list pages load the cover image rather than preloading every photo. This keeps the initial grid stable and avoids unnecessary Google photo requests.

Uploaded and place photos

User uploads are stored separately from Google place-photo references. Uploaded media can remain associated with the place in this collection and can be used as a cover when eligible.

Before publishing, review uploads for people, documents, reservation details, or location information you do not want to share.
