Search the Explore map

Search around the visible map area instead of your physical location and refine ambiguous queries.

Explore search uses the map you are looking at as context, so you can research a destination without results being dominated by your physical location.

Search the visible area

  1. Move or zoom the map to the destination.
  2. Enter a place, category, or need in the search bar.
  3. Select a result to open its place details.

Platix sends the visible map center as a location bias. Bias improves nearby ranking; it is not a strict boundary. Include a city, region, or country when a query is ambiguous.

Refine broad searches

Try intent-rich searches such as quiet seafood near Genoa old town or family-friendly museums in Vienna. Move the map before searching again when you want to compare neighborhoods.

Dragging the map does not automatically recenter it afterward. Selecting a place or pin is the intentional action that recenters and opens details.

Map controls

Use the Map/Satellite control in the top-right corner to change layers. The scale ruler estimates distance at the current zoom level; it does not calculate a walking or driving route.
