Anaheim is the practical base for Disneyland Resort, but an Anaheim itinerary can also reach baseball, Knott's Berry Farm and the coast. The useful question is not how many Southern California attractions fit on a list; it is which ones fit without turning each day into traffic and parking.
Plan Disneyland Resort one park at a time
Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure face one another, yet each can fill a full day. Decide whether a multi-park ticket serves the group before paying for flexibility you may not use. Current Lightning Lane products, entertainment schedules and reservation rules can change, so verify them in the official app rather than relying on an old planning guide.
Stay within walking distance or understand the exact shuttle route if early entry and evening shows matter. Build the day around a few shared priorities, then leave room for slower attractions, meals and children who need a reset. Downtown Disney can work on an arrival evening without using a park admission.
Add Orange County without underestimating distance
Knott's Berry Farm is in Buena Park, while Huntington Beach, Newport Beach and Laguna Beach are separate coastal cities. Pick one direction for the third day. A theme-park morning followed by several beaches usually creates more driving than discovery. If the coast wins, choose one beach area, check current water and parking conditions, and give it a genuine half or full day.
Los Angeles is also a separate destination rather than an easy Anaheim neighborhood. Combining the two can work over a longer trip, but daily commutes across the region are a poor substitute for changing bases.
